As Chief Marketing Officer for economic development in the State, I oversee research, public relations, advertising, social media and web marketing, creative services, trade shows and events.
In my time at the post so far, my team and I successfully redesigned and launched a highly interactive web site; created series of award winning e-zines; introduced a multi-platform social media program; conducted nationally recognized cybersecurity research; developed the “MaryLand of Opportunity” advertising campaign; produced series of new business information tools; and implemented an aggressive outreach program including tradeshows, special events and town hall meetings.
Previously, I served as founding COO for the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts and was State Director for U. S. Senator Barbara Mikulski. A Maryland native, I received a BS from the University of Maryland College Park. I have served on a number of boards including the Parks & People Foundation, Police Athletic League and the Governor’s Commission on Service & Volunteerism.
